Ditch your “ditch” lilies! They can totally take over. Some find them beautiful—and many daylily varieties are—but these particular ones (Hemerocallis fulva) spread more aggressively than others, expanding rapidly by their roots. They also spread into wild areas and can displace native plants. They are so prevalent in some areas in fact that many people assume they actually are native.
