Don’t throw your deep-fry oil away! Oil is expensive, and unless it’s burnt or smells off, you can actually reuse it a fair few times. After frying, let it cool completely, then filter it to remove any crumbs or sediment. You can use a mesh sieve, cheesecloth, paper towel — but my favourite is a coffee filter. It takes a bit longer, but you end up with much cleaner oil and get way more uses out of it. Less waste, more value, and honestly just a habit worth keeping. | Nat Thaipun
