Last Tuesday Dan endured a 7 hour surgery to treat the Heterotopic Ossification that has occurred as a result of his spinal injury. During the procedure, he lost 6 liters of blood, and developed a blood clot. He spent 2 days in the ICU and on Thursday had surgery to put 4 screws and a steel plate in his left femur and 2 screws and a steel plate in his right femur.
