More than 60 years ago, a group of developing nations united to make their voices heard at the United Nations, forming the Group of 77 (G77). Originally founded by 77 countries, the G77 has since grown to 134 member states, making it the largest intergovernmental organization within the UN. The Summit of the Group of 77 (G77) plus China was held at the Palace of Conventions in Havana, Cuba, on Friday and Saturday, gathering delegations from more than 100 countries.
