The new mental health wards at Fremantle Hospital will be ready for patients later this year. The wards, including 40 new beds, are purpose built for mental health care. And the facility will also provide a 24 hour urgent care service. This will help take pressure off Fiona Stanley’s busy ED while ensuring mental health patients receive dedicated crisis care.
