📽End of the line. The DuPont Dynamite Company established Louviers in 1906 as a "company town". The actual explosives plant was just outside of Louviers and at one point had 94 buildings before ceasing operations in 1971. Employees were given first dibs on buying the homes prior to DuPont closing. The entire town/village is part of the National Register of Historic Places.
