SolarFast dyes develop their color and become permanent upon exposure to sunlight. This means you can put an object or negative on top of the coated fabric and it will block the light, creating a print or pattern. In this video, we use temporary plastic fencing (like you'd see at a construction site) to create a checker pattern on a pair of blue jeans. It's a fun and fast project that gives you great results.
