I think I might have just made my best plate of pasta yet- preserved lemon and brown butter with fava beans! I finally found whole fresh fava beans and I was so excited to use them! I have been obsessed with fava beans ever since seeing them on chopped years ago. Fava beans surprisingly don’t have many beans in the pods. The texture of the inside of the pod is almost spongey! You have to blanch the fava beans (boil for 1 minute then shock in an ice bath) before removing the tough outer shell! Fa
