An attempted carjacking escalated to a police shooting over the weekend. Police say it started Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex near Decatur and Flamingo. Police say a suspect identified through booking records as Wade Griffith was allegedly trying to carjack someone and threatening them with a knife. Police say Griffith refused to comply with officers and pulled the knife on them as they were trying to take him into custody. That's when police say they opened fire. Police said on Sunday
